Sardine Lake

I have a bucket list.

On it was camping (yes, weird that I've never been camping).

Kyle is determined to knock off a few bucket list items.

He started with camping at Sardine Lake.

It was beautiful to say the least.

A few pics from the climb to the top of Mt. Butes

Stairway to Heaven

The view from the top of Mt. Butes

Because celebrating making it to 8,600 ft was necessary.

I have a thing for trees these days.

Duff made it all the way to the top but needed a little help back down.

Never stop exploring Duff.

"Mom, stop taking pics. I'm done with camping."

Great friends. Great views. Great times.

Meg and Trace Come to San Fran

This is a really late post but it could not be shared.

Meghan and Trace took time away from their family to spend my first Thanksgiving with me in The Bay. We packed all of San Fran's best in to a great weekend.

As always, here is the play by play:

Alcatraz.... Bring on the creepy pics....

Of course we went to wine country via the Golden Gate Bridge.

Wine country was everything we had hoped it would be.

A trip to San Fran isn't complete without visiting the Ferry Building. Beautiful at night.

Best Thanksgiving in the city I'll ever have.

Sittin' On The Dock of The Bay....Wastin' Time...

Yeah, it' been a while.

This is an oldie but goodie.

One of my bosses is from New Zealand. His name is Evan. And he loves sailing. So naturally, I had to eat brunch at Evan's waterfront home.

Best afternoon I've spent in The Bay.

Here is a quick look:

The Evan (left) and Justin (right) huddle before the jump.

The jump.

One of my superintendents Justin (not pictured, his awesome wife Oceanna).

Evan has a problem. Boats.

I was really hoping to live in this bungalow if we won the Marin General job. No such luck.

We haven't planned a second brunch but sailing is the next adventure I am going to make Evan take me on. I am too lucky to have such an awesome boss.

The Exploratorium

We all know I love a good museum...

Multiply that by ten when it's aimed at children under ten.

I have been bugging Kyle about taking me to San Francisco's Exploratorium since I made him be my friend.

He finally gave in.

I took a million pics; here are a few...
